Day and night on your server
Day and night run on each server's own clock (totems can speed it up), so they can't be predicted from UTC. One real second is one in-game minute, so a full in-game day takes 24 real minutes. Type the time on your screen to see when it turns.
Day is taken as 06:00 to 18:00 in-game (unverified).
How this is calculated
Each season lasts 576 real minutes, the same on every server, in the order Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, so a full year is 2,304 minutes and the start times shift by 14 h 24 min each day, repeating every 8 days.
The official wiki's live countdown put a Spring start at 2026-10-18 00:00 UTC, which is exactly a whole number of years after the Unix epoch. So the season is ⌊Unix minutes ÷ 576⌋ mod 4 (0 = Spring). It hasn't been checked against the in-game icon by us yet.
Spawn rates follow the wiki's rules: a fish's preferred season ×1.25, otherwise ×0.85; preferred weather ×1.35; outside its preferred time ×0.1; the Seasons Rod adds ×1.4 in season.
